Titration Club launched in Term 2 with great success, attracting more than 40 Years 11-12 Chemistry students. Each week, students performed precise analytical titrations in preparation for the NSW National Titration Competition, held on Friday 13 June at the University of Technology Sydney.

In these hour-long weekly training sessions, students competed the lowest individual error score, indicating an accurate titration. The camaraderie and weekly anticipation over who performed best created a motivating environment, driving our teams to develop advanced skills in analytical chemistry.
Three Knox teams, each comprising of three students, travelled to UTS to compete alongside 100 other students from across Greater Sydney. Following the competition, participants heard from UTS PhD students, who shared valuable insights into careers in scientific research. The visit offered a glimpse into life at the university and the possibilities in the field.
Congratulations to Year 12 students Minghao, Frank and Stanley who earnt a ‘Certificate of Excellence’ with a score of 84, and to Percy who scored a near perfect individual score of 1.
