Announcing our centenary musical

With more than 30 iconic Four Seasons hit songs like Sherry, Can’t Take My Eyes Off You, December, 1963 (Oh What a Night!), and Beggin’, audiences can expect to be wowed by the talent and energy of the performers of Knox Grammar School as they pour their heart and soul into this Tony Award-winning show.

Director of Co-Curricular Theatre Tanya Mitford said the story “showcases the power and potential of a group of young people passionate about their performing arts, who collaborate and support each other with fierce determination to achieve global greatness in their field, from their start in the 1950’s through to the present day.”

She likened this to the “astounding young Knox performing artists" and noted that the show was a perfect choice for the centenary year.

"Jersey Boys gives us an incredible opportunity to showcase the awe-inspiring capabilities of our young artists as we prepare them for the global community, igniting the flame of the necessity of arts in our communities, and the overwhelmingly positive impact the creation and presentation of the performing arts has on our culture, our societal beliefs and the propensity to instigate and encourage positive change in our lives.

"It is a mind-blowing culmination of our areas of excellence, worthy of its feature in our centenary year celebrations."

More than 200 students will be involved in all parts of the stage, both backstage and onstage, behind-the-scenes, out front, up on the domes and in the orchestra pit.
